Beyoncé is to receive £250,000 for a peformance at the Bermuda Music Festival and her payment doesn't stop there - the singer will also receive a further £250,000 for "expenses".

Producer of the festival, Rock Newman, says of the event now Beyoncé is to perform: "This event will garner more worldwide attention for Bermuda than anything that has ever happened here. Folks around the world are going to say 'Bermuda has got it going on!'"

Other acts set to play live there are singer Alicia Keys, Beyonce's sister Solange and UB40.

The event will take place on October 2, 2008, at the National Sports Centre.
