"Hey!! How are you guyssssssss?? I've been missing all of you guys!! I know y'all haven't seen or heard from me!! Would you like to know why?? I TWISTED MY ANKLE!!! It was pretty bad!! But I've been home getting spoiled by my family and also getting the best rehab for my ankle. It's amazing what we take for granted. We need every limb and ligament in our bodies to do the smallest things. I was tripping out at hard it is just to do baby squats. But it's cool.......I'll be back in my stilettos in a minute. Right now I've been able to wear some fresh, dope sneakers.

If there are some sneakers I need to grab....let me know which ones!!

Anyhoo.......I will try to get my kyte phone up and running and will do some live footage of me getting physical therapy today. NO PAIN, NO GAIN!!!

Somebody did this to me bcuz they knew if i was 100%, I'd be killin 'em!!!!! It's always something or somebody tryna hold me down!!! LOL!!!!!!!!

I'm just playin'...........so before this gets outta hand, let me do a disclaimer saying that. Michelle (Tenitra) is a jokester!! That keeps me in trouble!!! Y'all pray for my mouth and my brain!!! Sometimes mouth speaks and thoughts come second!!!!

Beyoncé is to receive £250,000 for a peformance at the Bermuda Music Festival and her payment doesn't stop there - the singer will also receive a further £250,000 for "expenses".

[07/12] - Right On Magazine's review Unexpected

On Michelle's solo effort, Heart To Yours, she had her first try in the spotlight away from Destiny's Child. the album was the largest selling gospel record of that year, and was in heavy rotation on gospel stations and music networks. Michelle's second album, Do You Know, peaked at #2 on the Top Gospel Albums Chart. For Michelle William's third release, she shakes off the gospel artist label with Unexpected, an album that can almost play from beginning to end at a club. The pop/dance/techno/house beats will keep you dancing all night long, with only a few allotted pit stops serious contemplation.
"Hello Heartbreak" is surprisingly upbeat, considering the lyrics ("Hello Heartbreak/It's nice to see you") and subject matter ("Who dances about being heartbroken?"). At the end of this song, you're left wondering, should you dance or sit one out. Also, the T-Pain voicebox effect on the track doesn't help much either. "Til The End," asks if her man's love is forever, or would he be her baby if she had no money. Yet, the up-tempo track goes directly against the single "Stop This Car," which tells a guy to "slow down, down." the album's title track, "Unexpected," written by Wayne Wilkins & Solange Knowles, has a unique sound. It centers on Michelle having the last laugh at the end of a relationship, and it's pretty melodramatic. Though the verses sound a bit like a Liz Phair joint (google her), the power is really in the chorus.
Michelle's music is easy listening, and despite hearing trickles of recycled ideas, it's for the most part, anoriginal effort. The bad news is if you're searching for Michelle to boast her vocal capabilities, she doesn't, and if you're looking for the next Deborah Cox, or Donna Summer even, you may just have to wait.

Kelly Rowland, Ne-Yo and Dirty Pretty Things have been added to the lineup for this year's T4 On The Beach.
The annual pop extravaganza will also witness a performance from supermodel Agyness Deyn, who is to appear on stage alongside indie band 5 O'Clock Heroes.

The Zutons, Black Kids and One Night Only have also been added to the bill, as announced on T4 over the weekend.

Performances from many other acts, including McFly, Duffy and Ting Tings, were confirmed in previous weeks.

T4 On The Beach - to be broadcast live on Channel 4 - takes place in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset on July 20.

Says Akshay’s spokesperson, “Currently he is Bahamas shooting for Blue. He will join the shooting in the first week of July. Spiro Razatos will join him. The training will include stunts which Razatos had done for Vantage Point. He is practicing hard to match up with Sylvester Stallone but at the same time he is very nervous to be a part of this big project.”

A source from the production house adds, “The first shooting schedule has begun in LA and will end by September. Arnold and Sylvester will be seen in cameos as Hollywood actors while Akki will be their stuntman. We are planning a sizzling dance number between Akki and Beyoncé. Sylvester and Beyoncé will be speaking both in Hindi and English. The budget will be around 70 crores.”

Kareena Kapoor is playing an international model in the film. Kambhaqt Ishq is directed by debutant Sabir Khan and according to the reports this film is based on Spiro Razatos himself.

It is scheduled to release at the end of the year.

Once Michelle Williams joined a few reporters at The Sony Building in Manhattan, there to hear her upcoming solo album, Unexpected, and to watch her music video, the peppy former Destiny's Child-er snacked on mac 'n cheese with her manager Kelly and hooted and squealed during the video screening when some of those not-bad-to-look-at backup dancers ... well, you can watch it below.

Your CD was so dance-y and fun! Did you go into it wanting to make a dance album?

Well, the first draft of my album was more mid-tempo ... and I let my mother listen to that album and she said, It's aight. Yeah, she didn't say all right, she said a-i-i-g-h-t. And it was like she challenged me. She said, You have nothing on here that kids can dance to. People go to the club to have fun, and I want people to dance to my baby's music.

So I ended up in the studio working with a great writer-producer by the name of Rico Love, and he wrote some great, great dance songs ... "Private Party," "Hello Heartbreak," "Lucky Girl" ...

Oh, I totally loved "Hello Heartbreak."

Thank you so much! Rico ... he was like the angel of my album. He said, Let me see where I can take her with this. There was not one song he wrote for me that I hated. I didn't even have to say, Ehhh ... Change that to this, you know, everything went so well. No drama, it went smooth. And that's why I know it's meant to be.

I also think your voice lends itself to this kind of music really well. I couldn't hear any of these tracks being on Ms. Kelly or on B'Day.

Thank you! I'm excited that you said that, because that lets me know, OK, I've got my voice in this box; Kelly's got hers in that; Beyonce has hers in that ... and I think that's great.

Did your personal taste in music always lean toward dance? Maybe more than Kelly's or Beyonce's did?

You know the crazy thing, I listen to all types: If you go on my iTunes, I got everything: I got Madonna, I got Kylie, I got Donna Summer, I got Bon Jovi, I got ... you know ... 50 Cent!

And the great thing about this album, it really just opened me up in a way to it, 'cause I'm funny with my friends and family behind closed doors, but I think this dance album is kind of making me just ... happy and just bubbly ... I got the new haircut! And I'm just feeling so good. I'm comfortable.

At what point did you and your crew say, The gays would love this stuff?

[laughs] When I did the album, I wasn't like, Mmm! I'm doin' this for the gay clubs! But you know, talking to everybody and doing the research, it was like, Michelle I think you got something here. And that's why I'm glad to do all the press for LOGO and going to The NewNowNext Awards - that was a lot of fun! But it just seems like ... [whispers] Y'all live, honey. And gay or straight, I don't care. We all live. We gotta live, have fun, be fierce...

I think I know the answer to this, but do you have close gay friends?

Absolutely. I do, I do. And I love them 'cause they tell me the truth, honey. I have this open-toe shoe on, right? And my French manicure is messed-up. And only a queen - well, people will look down at it but won't say nothing - but only a queen will be like, BITCH! I KNOW you ain't got yo' toe out and your French manicure ain't done!

Are you excited to perform for Pride at Splash?

I am very excited. It's going to be my first time, and I know they're gonna turn me out - before I even get on stage to turn them out.

So are you a fan of Noah's Arc? Or just of Jensen Atwood? Because I saw that picture of y'all at The NewNowNext Awards...

Of Jensen? He's so hot. He was my interest in the Destiny's Child "Soldier" video.

I don't remember that!

Yup, he was my guy.

I'll have to go back and watch that...

I'm in love with Jensen. And he does so much gay stuff! I think we said that to him at the Awards ... like, You are at every gay thing. And he's so cool about it.

But you know what? I don't even make it an issue. You don't treat gay people ... I don't even like to say the word "gays." ... How about people? How about a man? Although, I'm sure some men like to be called girls. Come here, girl!

And one more thing about The Awards! Have you heard of Cazwell, the rapper? At the after-party, he performed his song "I Seen Beyonce at Burger King."

Aah! Oh, I wish I had seen that. I was gone. I'll have to tell her about that. That's funny!

So for someone hearing Unexpected for the first time, what do you hope they get out of it?

It's actually a personal statement from where I am in my life. It's like, I want to be in love - and then I don't. I have been in love, and then it went sour. "Hello Heartbreak," for instance, it's like, you're in this relationship, and it's too good to be true; and you're like, somethin' crazy is gonna come around the corner ... Oh, HEY, HEARTBREAK! Hey there, sadness, I knew I was gonna meet you 'cause when all else fails, you'll always be around ... I knew it! How did I know?

And you know, I have a strange connection to pain. I just gotta get better about my choices, my selections.

As far as that subject, I really like "Thank You."

You do? Oh, honey! If I said that to a man, he'd be like, Did you just read me? ... Sure did, buddy: Thank you ... for losing me.

Oprah Winfrey is ranked as the world’s most powerful celebrity in the annual Forbes Celebrity 100 list. Despite recent speculation that her popularity and influence might be waning, she remains at the top of the Forbes list, and was second only to J.K. Rowling in the earning stakes. The Forbes list is designed to reflect the influence of a celebrity in any one year. The list looks at how much a celebrity is paid, and how much other people are paying attention to them.

Power couples feature highly in this year’s list. The press coverage surrounding Angelina Jolie (no. 3) and Brad Pitt (10) shows no sign of abating as they wait for their twins to arrive, while Beyonce (4) and Jay-Z (7) cement their status as hip hop’s premier players. Interestingly, in both cases, the women appear higher on the list than their partners.

The Brits are again out in force on this year’s list. Despite spending most of last year’s NFL season on the sidelines through injury, a return to the England team has seen David Beckham’s press coverage and endorsements rise, giving him a place in the top 5 for the first time. British music stars had mixed fortunes this year. The Police embarked on a money-spinning world tour which propelled them to the number 7 spot, but Elton John fell out of the list this year. Gordon Ramsay is yet another successful export. He has taken his brand stateside this year with the launch of restaurants and a TV series, and is rewarded with a place in the top 100 for the first time (95).

Forbes recognised the undeniable strength of the youth market by adding “tweens” as a category to this year’s rankings. 2008 sees the debut of two of the stars of the Disney phenomenon High School Musical. Zac Efron and Ashley Tisdale both make the list, as do Disney’s newest stars, the Jonas Brothers. And despite (or perhaps because of) recent controversy over a Vanity Fair shoot, Miley Cyrus is at number 35.

Hollywood is showing signs of change. Although traditional power players such as Tom Cruise (31) and Steven Spielberg (13) are still making an appearance, they are joined this year by emerging talents such as Judd Apatow (82) and Katherine Heigl (73). The Sex in the City movie has done Sarah Jessica Parker no harm, and the buzz from this, combined with her fashion and fragrance lines, puts her onto the list for the first time at number 72.

The list, to be published in the forthcoming issue of Forbes, ranks the most powerful public figures in the world.

Michelle Williams: Well actually, that was one of two songs on my album that was already demo-ed, and I loved the song. The beat was so infectious and I was happy that Solange wrote the song. In the beginning I caught myself trying to stand apart and I didn't want to bug Beyonce or Kelly to write something on the album. I was trying to stand on my own. Then low and behold, Solange ended up writing the song and I'm glad.

RS: You mentioned two songs were demo-ed for you. Does that mean you wrote most of the rest of the album?
Michelle Williams: Actually no, there's a producer friend of mine by the name of Rico Love, who is so deep when it comes to writing songs and yet his stuff is still relatable. When you ask him about the inspiration behind all of these songs, he just listens to a track, and whatever gets whispered in his ear, he'll write that song. It came from my heart, into the air, and then to his ear. So for me right now, it wasn't about me writing, it was just about getting great songs, and because this was something new for me.

RS: Yes the move from gospel to the pop/dance side. What was the inspiration for that move?
Michelle Williams: Just because I've never been one to just sit still and just do one thing. I want to be known as one who can do it all, you know. I'm glad I got the opportunity through Columbia Records to do it.

RS: Well, you're definitely doing it all. You were just on tour with The Color Purple. How is doing theater different than recording albums?
Michelle Williams: Because every night it's live and you don't know what is going to happen. It wasn't the same thing every night, but I guess it's the same thing as recording because sometimes you've got to do something over and over and over again. While doing Broadway, I was stable and I was in one place for a long time. That's rare in the industry, for you to be in one place for a long time.

RS: I can imagine. On this single there are several great dance mixes – which one's your favorite?
Michelle Williams: For me, Karmatronic.

RS: Very cool. What do you like about them?
Michelle Williams: I love the extended version and I just love hearing peoples' interpretations of what they would have done with the song. It's good that you can do the EP and give the fans some various remixes.

RS: Do you go clubbing yourself?
Michelle Williams: Absolutely.

RS: What's your favorite dance song right now?
Michelle Williams: I love Justin Timberlake's "Sexyback" and that Timbaland song "Elevator."

RS: Who are some of your favorite DJs?
Michelle Williams: Honestly, shucks, I don't know many really personally. I love Junior Vasquez. I got the chance to meet him in person here in New York the other day, and I was so excited about that.

RS: There's also a Maurice Joshua mix on the single.
Michelle Williams: Love Maurice Joshua.

RS: And he's been remixing you all the way back to the Destiny's Child days. What about Maurice Joshua do you like so much?
Michelle Williams: I like the way he utilizes the live instruments.

RS: Speaking of Destiny's Child, what's your favorite Destiny's Child song to sing live?
Michelle Williams: Soldier.

RS: Very cool. You also did a video for this single "We Break the Dawn." What was the story behind the video?
Michelle Williams: Well, the great director by the name of Phil Griffin, this was his debut in the United States. He's from the UK – so his vision was just something different from what all the other video directors wanted to do. For this video, I did want to do the club thingy, because when you think of We Break The Dawn – of course, I'm always doing something unexpected, something different. I titled the album Unexpected, so when the director was like 'we're doing red carpets in the middle of the street, in Los Angeles,' you know, my red carpet, I thought that was so cool. Introduce me to the world.

RS: One of the many things I like about you is the way you're always presented in a very classy way, and as opposed to a lot of the R&B singers, who are always showing their body and they use that to replace their talent. Is that from your Gospel background, where you're keeping you're keeping your self-respect?
Michelle Williams: Well baby, I'm comfortable when I've got clothes on, you know what I'm saying? Maybe that works for other people. It's so crazy because I watch old videos with Ginger Rogers and Cyd Charisse and they wore all that stuff that might be considered lingerie, but they weren't considered tacky. That's just what they were comfortable in. I like what I wear and it's what I am comfortable in, you know.

RS: Very cool. What would you like to say to all your dance music fans out there?
Michelle Williams: Thank you so much for love and the support. I've had an overwhelmingly positive response. I'm excited because I'm gaining new fans, and dance music is so huge. I'm learning so much about that world and I'm glad I did this album.
